Brumby Brew Partners with Rowquin Rescue: A Brew-tiful Tail
“When a dog comes to Rowquin, we see them through for life,” says Lisa Thewes.
What do coffee and rescue dogs have in common? At first glance, not much. But at Brumby Brew, both can be part of something bigger: making a difference for animals in need.
The Brumby Brew team recently visited Rowquin Rescue, a nonprofit, no-kill dog rescue based in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, to celebrate the organizations’ growing partnership. In August 2026, William Hynes, CEO of Brumby Brew, donated $500 to the rescue as part of the company’s commitment to donating a portion of coffee sales proceeds to support animal shelters in south-central Pennsylvania.
Founded by Lisa Thewes, director of Rowquin Rescue, the organization’s name honors two beloved rescue dogs, Rowko and Quinton, who passed away in 2021. Today, the rescue relies on donations and community support to continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming abused and neglected dogs.
“When a dog comes to Rowquin, we see them through for life,” says Thewes. “Whether that means funding training, covering vet bills years after adoption or providing lifelong hospice care, no dog is ever left behind.”
Beyond financial contributions, Brumby Brew is finding creative ways to help rescue dogs get noticed. Through its Rescue Spotlight campaign, the company features adoptable dogs on its packaging, using its products and social media presence to raise awareness and help connect dogs with potential adopters.
The campaign began with Tokio, a pit bull mix who has been waiting for his forever home at Rowquin Rescue for nearly three years.

“Partnering with Brumby Brew has been an incredible blessing for our rescue,” says Thewes. “The exposure we have received through this partnership has been amazing, bringing vital visibility to our rescue name and helping us showcase our adoptable dogs to a much wider audience. Having Tokio featured on the packaging was a special highlight, and collaborations like this directly support our vetting, care and daily operations, allowing us to save even more lives.”
By putting adoptable dogs in the spotlight, Brumby Brew hopes to turn everyday coffee moments into opportunities to make a difference. Each feature offers another chance for a dog to be seen, shared, and hopefully, welcomed into a loving home.
